Victor Harbor Heritage Trail SA
TrailScapes constructed a section of the Heritage Trail in Victor Harbor, South Australia in two stages throughout 2011 and 2012.
The first stage of this project involved the construction of a 900mm wide, full-bench trail with a small creek crossing. The construction took place through grass paddocks, with our team taking care to avoid any new planting areas and established native vegetation. We also subsequently integrated over 50% of the excavated soil from the construction process back into the trail itself.
The second stage involved boxing out the trail as well as surfacing and compacting the soil. We also constructed retaining walls for structural support, rock step features and integrated rest areas into the overall design.
