Wodonga Pump Track stage 1 and 2
In November 2019, the TrailScapes team won the tender to design a 2-stage asphalt pump track in Birallee Park, Wodonga for Wodonga Council in Victoria, Australia.
The construction of Stage 1 was completed in March 2020 and took just under 5 weeks. This stage included the installation of drainage, the shaping of over 500T of local road base and the application of about 220 square metres of asphalt as well as line painting.
Artificial turf was installed to reduce maintenance until Stage 2 construction. But what was a temporary measure initially became a permanent solution as this no-maintenance turf appealed to users as well as the client.
In November 2021, the track doubled in size, with a mirrored version of stage 1 being added as per the original design. This particular design allows riders to race against each other, riding opposite sides of the track, also opening the door to Pump Track competitions.
Known as one of the best (if not the best) pump track in Australia, Birallee Park Pump Track now also features a bowl similar to what you would find in a skatepark.
Like most TrailScapes-built pump track, the Wodonga Pump Track provides a low maintenance space that can be used by people of all ages and riding abilities and is suitable for use by any bikes, skateboards, skates, scooters.
