Fox Creek Lone Gum DH track and Gravity Enduro trail, SA
TrailScapes completed the construction of the country’s most exciting downhill trail. A first in Adelaide, the Lone Gum DH trail starts at the very top of Fox Creek, where a lone giant gum sits on top of the hill, overlooking the valleys below. The trail is a mixture of off camber sections through the pine forest with drops and loose soil combined with sections of open flowy trail featuring big jumps, berms, more rock drops, optional gap jumps, steep rocky chute that lead to the big finale; a set of jaw-dropping jumps on the finish straight providing an adrenalin rush for riders and spectators alike.
The trail opened with a bang in August 2017 with racers from all over competing in the South Australian State Championships 2017. The track received huge accolades and the team couldn’t be prouder of their hard work.
Despite it being one of the most technical trail in SA, all features are rollable, allowing all DH riders to progress.
The Gravity Enduro track is rough and raw, with plenty of rock drops and steep off camber sections. Mostly built by hand, the trail has an “old school” feel and is sure to surprise and delight all riders who are used to the flow-type, machine built type of trails. It has been named “Boob shaker” by trail users … we don’t need to explain why!
