Cobbler Creek Shared-use trails, South Australia

Client: DEWNR - Department for Environment Water and Natural Resources, SA Date: 22 May - 22 December 2013 Map: Get directions

Following the success of the Craigburn Farm project, TrailScapes was awarded the contract to construct a network of shared-use trails within the Cobbler Creek Recreation Park.

This project is used as a “testing ground” for the development of sustainable trails catering for walking and cycling access on Reserves of DEWNR land tenure.

The network showcases a variety of trails including 2 Downhill specific trails, some shared-used intermediate trails, as well as surfaced kids and beginner loops.

TrailScapes thrives to minimise its impact on the environment and used a 100% recycled surfacing material for the construction of the majority of the raised trails.

The general classifications for the trails at Cobbler Creek are Blue – Intermediate (IMBA Guidelines) and Class 3 to 4 (Australian Walking Trail Standards 2156.1, 2001). Our team also installed park amenities (picnic tables, etc) and all signage.
